AB Series High-Power IR Emitter
American Bright's high-power IR emitter emits a wavelength that is not visible to the human eye
In addition to traditional through-hole style IR emitters, American Bright offers a series of high-power IR emitters. These high-power IR emitters are available in 3535 and 3838 packages with wavelengths of 850 nm and 940 nm and can be driven at high currents for maximum radiant intensity. This series of emitters are driven at 1.0 W (3 V at 350 mA) but can be increased to 3.0 W (3 V at 100 mA). With extra power and radiant intensity, these high-power IR emitters are an excellent choice for any wireless communication application. The high power allows for increased communication distance meaning fewer emitters are needed compared to the older models of IR emitters for the same result.
