Image of Renesas’ Gigabit Ethernet Clock SynthesizerThe ICS843021 is a Gigabit Ethernet Clock Generator and a member of the HiPerClocks family of high performance devices from Renesas. The ICS843021 uses a 25 MHz crystal to synthesize 125 MHz. It has excellent phase jitter performance over the 1.875 MHz to 20 MHz integration range. Packaged in a small 8-pin TSSOP, it is ideal for use in systems with limited board space.

Features and Applications
  • One differential 3.3 V LVPECL output
  • Crystal oscillator interface designed for 25 MHz, 18 pF parallel resonant crystal
  • Output frequency: 125 MHz using a 25 MHz crystal
  • VCO range: 490 MHz to 640 MHz
  • RMS phase jitter @ 125 MHz using a 25 MHz crystal (1.875 MHz to 20 MHz): 0.41 ps (typical) (for 3.3 V)
  • Full 3.3 V or 2.5 V operating supply
  • -40°C to 85°C ambient operating temperature
