This document provides details of the vacuum cleaner evaluation board, including jumper settings, load connections, and device and software features. In terms of both hardware and software, the tool is ready for use in the development of universal motor driving based on phase angle control.

The LM3450A evaluation board is designed to provide an AC to LED solution for a 30 W LED load. Specifically, it takes an AC mains input and converts it to a constant current output of 700 mA for a series string of 1 to 13 LEDs (maximum LED stack voltage of 45 V). There are two assembly versions designed to operate from two different nominal AC input voltages, 120 VAC or 230 VAC.

This document describes an isolated, power factor corrected, very high efficiency LED driver (non-dimmable) designed to drive an LED string of 30 V at a current of 500 mA (both nominal) from an input voltage range of 90 to 265 VAC. The design employs an active ripple filter to achieve less than 30% output ripple. A reference board DER-284 was used with active ripple filter daughter board.

Demonstration circuit 2079A is a 40VIN, 40VOUT LED driver. It generates its own PWMOUT waveform from its internal PWM generator for accurate PWM dimming with up to 33:1 brightness ratio.
