Alvium 1800 C-1240 CSI-2 Camera with IMX226 Sensor

Allied Visions' Alvium® 1800 C-1240 incorporates Sony’s back-illuminated IMX226 rolling shutter sensor that enables high-quality imaging at 12.2 megapixels and 41 frames per second. The camera combines high image quality with a small optical format and thus offers a very good price/performance ratio due to the pixel size of 1.85 μm.

In combination with the industrial-grade design and various hardware options, the cameras allow system designers to easily migrate from PC-based to embedded systems without having to compromise on machine vision performance.

Alvium CSI-2 cameras enable designs for embedded applications with improved image quality and reduced workload for the host. The innovative Alvium System on Chip (SoC) performs image corrections and preprocessing tasks onboard the camera instead of the embedded board. Unlike FPGAs commonly used in machine vision cameras, the ALVIUM SoC is extremely power efficient. With Alvium, integrating hardware and software can be done effortlessly, which ultimately reduces development time.
