Chipquik and Digi-Key offer small size solder spools and lead-free tip tinner
To keep up with demands of the electronic workbench, Chip Quik now offers a line of solder wire on smaller spools. Twelve different spools of solder wire are available in 1, 2 and 4 ounce spool sizes. Each spool is .020 or .031 inches in diameter with a lead or lead-free option.
Additionally, with the introduction of lead-free PCBs, hand soldering is more challenging than ever. A clean, well tinned solder tip is critical to obtain a lead-free solder joint. Chipquik's lead-free Tip Tinner is a good solution for quality solder joints.
